akamai ControlBar instantiation

For some reason I can't instantiate a ControlBar no matter how I try. I have googled the world over
and haven't found a solution. I am using React 17.

Error:

TypeError: dashjs_contrib_akamai_controlbar_ControlBar__WEBPACK_IMPORTED_MODULE_2___default.a is not a constructori

Snippet:

did you make that work ? Well It will not work directly on react because this controlbar code is written in pure javascript and you need to compile it with webpack .

and it was written almost ten years ago. May be time to make it a react component?

@dsparacio Did you have that code or suggestion for making controlbar work in reactjs.

I do not. I wrote the original code for that, in 2015, so it may need some modernization!
