Brief description
How the task should be done
- Prepare HLK client deployment on regular Windows 11:
- 1.a. Check if the HLK installation can be launched from terminal and unattended
- 2.a. Integrate it into a preseeded Windows installer in preseeds
- It should be possible to add the installer to the ISO using scripts from
dasharo/preseeds and include an installation step in autounattend.xml - After installation, manual or automated, the image with Ubuntu and Windows containing HLK should be cloned with Clonezilla for future use
- It should be possible to add the installer to the ISO using scripts from
- 2.b. fallback - If not possible, prepare an extensive documentation of manual install in OSFV. It must include images representing what needs to be selected in the GUIs. Create a Clonezilla image containing just the Windows installation containing HLK.
- 3.a. install on a DUT and verify that tests can be launched on it from the server
Deliverables
- Disk image of Windows 11 with Windows HLK configured and ready to use uploaded to Clonezilla
- Depending on the variant of point
2.:- PR to dasharo/preseeds which extends the existing Windows autoinstaller with Windows HLK installation
- A step by step documentation of the installation and configuration process with images on docs.dasharo.com
- Proofs (logs, screenshot) showing the tests can be run
- this requires Prepare HLK server deployment on Windows Server #1669 to be finished, or the testing installation from Manually install the HLK server and client to check if the setup instructions from internal docs work #1668 to still be available
