Brief summary

When I select Dasharo Tools Suite from the blue Dasharo network boot menu, I can see that the network card is configured and then the next line for a blink of an eye displays something like http.........dasharo....... and immediately returns to the blue Dasharo network boot menu (great for debugging ;-) ).

Secure boot and Intel ME is disabled.

How to reproduce

Have an NV41 12th Gen laptop with v1.7.2 firmware with Secure boot and Intel ME disabled and try to update the firmware ;-)

Expected behavior

Firmware being updated or a message stating that there is no new firmware available.

Actual behavior

To help user/developer easily understand what's going on, some message flashes for a blink of an eye and returns user to the Dasharo boot menu.

fwupdmgr get-devices states that the Dasharo firmware is locked.

Did the update yesterday in the afternoon via BIOS on a NV41PZ with i5-1240p and Dasharo 1.7.2:

[1] Ethernet plugged in.
[2] No changes to BIOS settings (like enabling/disabling IME, DMA protections etc.).
[3] Chose Dasharo Firmware-Update-Mode in BIOS.
[4] iPXE netboot started with DTS 2.7.7.
[5] Entered the check number and pressed when asked to etc. (The usual stuff with auto update mode).
[6] Waited 3 to 5mins - update completed.

Not a single hiccup ...

Reconfigured everything (admin password, settings). Working nice so far. Had to re-calibrate the battery, though. I guess it's because of the EC update.

@jze2 It seems that network boot doesn't work/fails to download DTS. What you can try:

1. Check if network boot is enabled (it should be if you can access network boot, but make sure just in case. This step can be skipped if you are using FUM (Firmware Update Mode))
2. Make sure your network connection works via Ethernet (cable).
3. Try to update via Firmware Update Mode
4. You can prepare and boot DTS from USB
