Backups using remote network drive

Continuing the question from #139, @2rkoester asked about using a remote network drive instead of a USB flash drive for backups.

This sounds like something that would be a welcome addition to the feature set, so I'd like to kick off the discussion here. I can also see the discussion touching on cloud services providers (like Dropbox, Google, etc), but for now I think we'll start with NFS, unless there's another remote network drive technology you're using!

@David00 I suspect that SMB is more popular than NFS these days. It has the advantage of built in support on macOS and MS Windows.

That's a great point, @jralls! I will look into adding methods for the backups to use via the existing backup script.
