Veracode Import: One application, multiple teams

Veracode allows for a single application to be assigned to multiple teams. The way I currently have DefectDojo set up, a Team in Veracode equates to a Product Type in DefectDojo, with the Application being the Product. This allows me to set up user groups that have visibility to a single Product Type, so they can see all of the Products within that Type without seeing other teams' products.

However, I run into an issue with this because it seems that this does not work out when the Application in Veracode is assigned to multiple Teams. When importing into DefectDojo, the Application gets assigned to the first team, but when importing for the second team, it just reimports as the first team.

Any thoughts on how I may get around this? I'm open to changing the Product/ProductType relationship.
