The repo is becoming a bit stale, and users/devs that depend on it would like to know what is the status of the repo. Are you able to respond and merge PRs for basic maintainance? If not, are you willing to transfer the repo to another org that is willing to do so? |

This expands the compat bound from 0.7 to also include 0.8.
I don't know if this works without any problems, but such a compat is needed for downstream dependencies to work on julia v1.12.
