Brand and visual identity updates

Hey all! Some weeks ago I volunteered to drive the brand identity and subsequent visual identity to streamline all parts of the design process.

Previous events (AEDT)

• Sep/Oct: In a community call I volunteer to do design and website things
• 1st Nov: Call with Ana + Stacey
• 2nd Nov: Made the brand identity prism
• 22nd Nov: Call with Stacey to refine the brand identity prism
• 26th Nov: Met with Steering Committee for further refinement on the brand identity prism

Expected approximate timeline

• 30th Nov: Feedback and suggestions period ends
• 2nd Dec: I provide website + design inspo, and suggested palettes + typography based on brand identity prism
• 6th Dec: I start the style guide; if palette, typography, and imagery are decided I'll begin to address the logo
• 13th Dec: Start building our website according to the style guide until it's good enough~

If you'd like to contribute

• I'm happy to hop into a call to explain or discuss anything regarding the prism until Friday. Please read all the notes first at the bottom of the prism slides; I've provided both explanations and examples!
• Send me anything you like in terms of inspo, and please be explicit about what it is you like about it
• Comment on the brand identity prism
• Events tend to unfold on Discord in the #website channel (organising meetings, posting updates as they happen, etc), so pop over there if you want to keep a closer eye on the evolution of the the brand + website

Brands are an evolving entity. Discussion is great and appreciated at any given point - even positive feedback is great so I know we're going in the right direction!
