MongoDB will be replaced with ElasticSearch in the next MAGIST major release!

With MAGIST AlphaBird Release v0.1.0, the goal was to provide a basic system to prototype and prove the working principle behind the algorithm. Upon contemplation and further implementation of features, we have decided to deprecate MongoDB for the NeuralDB system. MAGIST will now use a combination of ElasticSearch and a highly experimental, proprietary algorithm.

Please note: MAGIST will continue to function under GNU GPL v3 and the NeuralDB will still be equally functional through our OpenSource NeuralDB search protocol. The OpenSource version of NeuralDB (including the database and the search functionality) will remain OpenSource. The experimental algorithm is an additional feature, of which, more updates will be published soon!

Where you can help?

Due to such drastic changes in the core features of MAGIST, we encourage the community to experiment with the ElasticSearch MAGIST API and report any malfunctions or bugs. This way, we can assure that the new release is stable and functional.
