Compiled from source, no connection to server but works with compiled version

Hi,

I tried to recompile the version 51681da from source.

When I try to connect, nothing is sent to the server. I just get the Unable to connect to host server. A capture with Wireshark shows no network traffic.

With the compiled version it works fine.

I'm trying to make this version work with 1.29.1 servers
