Definition
Reticular pseudodrusen (RPD), also known as subretinal drusenoid deposits (SDD), are yellowish, network-like deposits located apical to the retinal pigment epithelium in the subretinal space. They are a distinct feature of age-related macular degeneration (AMD) and are strongly associated with disease progression and severe vision loss.
