Need: Documentation for setting up sparse grid simulations

Given the utility of running sparse grid for PPE work, it seems like it would be helpful to document our sparse grid workflow. Eventually this should go in the user's guide (along with #3109). I'm not looking for anything fancy here just How do I run a sparse grid BGC case with CRUJRA forcing?

We can start documenting this here, and eventually migrate the discussion to the documentation.

Adding a pointer here to #3099 which talks about issues in the sparse grid.

And discussion #2811 which talks about the ESMF mesh part of this for the sparse grid as well as other grids.

Thanks for linking these broader issues, Erik. To clarify, I'm not wanting to do anything different or fancy here, just run a case with the 400 point sparse grid that others have done already.
