Minecraft crashing with texture packs

If you open a texture pack that is supported in a newer version, the game crashes. When you click on the texture packs tab in the pause menu, the game keeps crashing. Now I can't change my texture pack anymore. I had a really bad texture pack on, so now I can't change it to the default textures.

Could you provide the exact texture pack that is causing the crash? You can also reset your texturepacks in developer tools if you know how to open the indexeddb

It's pretty much any texture pack that supported a newer version. Like a Minecraft 1.12.2 texture pack.
Also, I don't know how to open the "indexeddb."

I'll fix this, thanks for reporting. my guess on why this happens is that 1.6+ uses a different type of pack called resource packs, whereas anything 1.5 and below use the old texture packs, and the client doesn't properly account for that.

@jqi123456 I can't seem to recreate this crash, are you using the WASM-GC build? if possible can you provide the exact pack zip?

I'm using the WASM-GC build. I've long since deleted the texture pack file.

Also, I should have told you this a long time ago, but the "import existing world" feature doesn't work. If I select a file, and

*** upload it, the world wouldn't appear on the "Select world" menu
