global states and zustand

currently adding new global states/functionality is cumbersome and messy. So many files are touched for the simplest things, that shouldn't happened. New functionality (if totally new) should be added ideally as a new file and just compound all that into a general file with all global states. The same principle should apply to other components.

Can you elaborate? Like it should be a bunch of different stores in different files?

For starters yes, at least per topic. So that in the future we only touch/update what is needed, instead of a big file with so much functionality.
