Once you've signed up you'll see an option to Linode Image, clicking this you'll be prompted to select your configuration.
Now we'll need to select our image, this currently needs to be Ubuntu 14.04:

Click create image. It will take time to creation of image. After successfull creation, click on boot.

Now you can login with SSH.
