Hi, I was trying to download version 226 of the database but as already brought up here (#522 for version 214) the download speed is very slow. I tried curl, wget, aria2c but rarely exceeding 100kb/s. I also tried downloading version 214 and change the gtdbtk tool version accordingly but the download keeps failing.

Which repository have you tried downloading from?

We provide three different mirrors for the GTDB-Tk database. The mirror hosted at UQ should normally be relatively fast:

You can also try the mirror hosted in Denmark:

https://data.gtdb.aau.ecogenomic.org/releases/release226
