[FEATURE REQUEST] Hide Edit Controls button

Describe the feature
It would be appreciated to add the ability to hide the Edit Controls button that appears when using the Custom Layout, as one would usually only edit the Layout once, maybe a few times and the button is an eyesore compared to the layout itself

Additional context
Maybe it can be a checkbox whether to show the edit layout button in the settings menu when using the custom layout.

Also, obviously, if the button is hidden, the layout should have symmetrical padding on the top and bottom of the widget.
