Issues with Annotations and Errors

I did look at the logs but there is just no relevant information when these issues happen.

So far i've run into a multitude of issues with annotations getting 'forgotten'. It also seems Errors are just inconsistent, they pop/out of existence however the lsp wants. So i can have undefined field in one moment, and in another that same undefined field is simply 'any' without any error until a LSP restart.

I use LuaCATS annotations from https://github.com/Ketho/vscode-wow-api for WoW Development with EmmyLUA in VSCode.

Because I don't have the complete code, I can't tell exactly where the problem is, but it likely relates to the indexing method.

I tested 5k but i still saw it not annotated correctly randomly (i keep vscode open, so the LSP does something that makes it forget or it restarts or something), increasing this value more seems to have a counter effect where it's more likely to fail, at 10k it never picks up all the annotations for UIParent when i restart the lsp. EmmyLua is not fully compatible with LuaLS; you must manually modify its annotations to make them compatible.

I can get it to produce error on this repro, but it's random so you have to restart the server a bunch of times to see it not finding GetScale() on UIParent, one restart it may work, one restart it may not.

Because UIParent has been repeatedly reassigned.

to fix this fast, you can add this code in your workspace (not lib):

Thank you i removed the line UIParent = self for now, as adding the code into my workspace did not work.
