Default Expiry Time bug... and enhancement suggestions

Hi there,

I have a bug to report and a few suggestions. I hope this is the right channel—if not, please let me know where to direct this.

First off, I love Erugo. I’ve been looking for a self-hosted solution for months and tried about half a dozen options. None felt right or they had limitations. Erugo is the first one that does exactly what I want and makes it easy. Thanks!

Here are my notes:

• (bug) I changed the “Default Expiry Time” to 14 days, but when I extend a share it resets to 7 days instead of the default 14.
• (bug / enhancement) When clicking Extend, I’d expect it to either add the Default Expiry Time to the current expiry or reset it to that value. If clicked again, it should add another increment. Currently, it always sets the expiry to 7 days.
• (enhancement) Consider adding a “Shares” button to the main screen (especially for admins). Viewing and managing shares is a primary admin task, and having it front and center would improve usability.
• (enhancement) Add a Delete Share button next to Extend. Auto-expiry is great, but there are cases where actively deleting a share would be useful. I know it can be done by expiring and then deleting expired shares, but doing it in 1 step would be nicer.
• (enhancement) Add support for long-term or permanent shares. This would be helpful for files or folders that need to be shared repeatedly over time (e.g., instructions or directions).
• (enhancement) Reshare. It would be great if I can use an existing share and either resend the email (in case it was lost) OR share with another person.

I downloaded the latest update (2.15). Looks like the extend bug is still there.

In case my initial description was not clear, the issue is that if I create a share today, the default behavior is that the share will expire after 7 days. After 4 days, I click on extend for that share, the extend date then changes to TODAY + 7. On the other hand, if I set the default expiry time under the system settings to 14 days, an unexpected result occurs when I extend. So if I were to go back to my previous example, I create a share, the expire date is correctly set to TODAY + 14. Then, 4 days go by and I click extend. The expected result would be the new expire date becomes TODAY +14... but instead it is set to TODAY + 7.
