admins with kickexempt don't get kicked

I set up admin permissions on my server by assigning " * = true " on LuckPerms, but I'm open to exploring better methods. Currently, even though the admin group has "essentials.afk.kickexempt = false," they are not being kicked. Is there a way to give priority to "kickexempt" over " * = true " in this situation?
