Question regarding domain reduction in successor ABL simulation

Hi everyone,

I'm currently running neutral ABL simulations following the recommendations provided in the documentation. I have already completed the precursor simulation and would now like to use the saved data to run a simulation that includes wind turbines.

My question is: Is it possible to reduce the domain size for the successor simulation, specifically by narrowing the domain width while keeping the same grid resolution at the boundaries? The goal is to reduce computational cost. I know that in SOWFA this is possible, as described in Johlas et al..

I attempted to do this in AMR-Wind, but encountered the following error:

terminate called after throwing an instance of 'std::runtime_error'
  what():  Domain size changed which indicates replication but there is either some precision issues or a non integer domain size change was input

I don't think it is possible within AMR-Wind in the present form to my knowledge.
