Action Performed:

1. Sign in to ND with a brand new gmail account with a "+"
2. Complete the onboarding with "Manage my team's expenses" purpose
3. In the Concierge chat click on "Set up categories and tags" task
4. Add a category and tags
5. Get back to Concierge chat and verify "Set up categories and tags" task is completed

Expected Result:

"Set up categories and tags" task is completed in Concierge chat after adding new categories and tags to the workspace

Actual Result:

"Set up categories and tags" task is not completed in Concierge chat after adding new categories and tags to the workspace

When completing onboarding with "Manage my team's expenses" purpose and clicking "Set up categories and tags" task, adding categories or tags does not mark the task as completed in the Concierge chat.

What is the root cause of that problem?

Two issues prevent the task from being completed:

Issue 1: Task report ID is not stored in NVP_INTRO_SELECTED

In src/libs/ReportUtils.ts, the prepareOnboardingOnyxData function stores task report IDs for certain tasks (lines 11677-11678):

The SETUP_CATEGORIES and SETUP_CATEGORIES_AND_TAGS task report IDs are never captured and stored. These two task types are mutually exclusive - only one appears based on whether the user reported using an accounting integration (see lines 11411-11416):

Since they're mutually exclusive, both can share the existing setupCategories key in IntroSelected.

Issue 2: Tag creation has no completion logic

Category creation calls appendSetupCategoriesOnboardingData which handles task completion via getFinishOnboardingTaskOnyxData. However, createPolicyTag in src/libs/actions/Policy/Tag.ts has no equivalent completion logic.

When a user clicks the "Set up categories and tags" task and adds a tag, nothing triggers the task completion.

What changes do you think we should make in order to solve the problem?

3. Update tag creation pages:

Update the tag creation pages (e.g., CreateTagPage.tsx) to use useOnboardingTaskInformation(CONST.ONBOARDING_TASK_TYPE.SETUP_CATEGORIES) and pass the task report info to createPolicyTag.
