I can see my app in the Share menu but when I click on my app then it opens the main page of app and no data is passed to my app either.

In android/app/src/main/java/app/appname/appdomain/MainActivity.kt you need to add this code

  // required for react-native-share-menu to receive new intents
  override fun onNewIntent(intent: Intent?) {
    super.onNewIntent(intent)
    setIntent(intent) // <- This makes the intent available to ShareMenu
  }

That solved this issue for us anyway.
