Does GRID orientation also apply to Control elements?

v1.2 has added the value GRID to the datatype Orientation. This was done to support the layout of strategy panels. Controls (e.g. radio buttons, checkboxes) also have the attribute "orientation". Does GRID also apply here or is the list of values for controls limited to HORIZONTAL and VERTICAL (as in V1.1)?
