Issue description

Pasting patterns into a book freezes the game if there are any line breaks after the patterns. The line breaks don't have to be directly behind the pattern list, as long as they are after it. The pattern itself can be pasted as normal but typing a line break after it also freezes the game. The game does not recover from the freeze and eventually crashes.

Example:

Printer's Gambit
any -> 
[[EAST, wawqwawaw][WEST, qqqaw], (vec), [NORTH_EAST, aawdd][WEST, dwewdweq]]

Print the string representation of the top iota to the printer.

If it is of any relevance, the text was copied from VS Code on Windows, line breaks in the editor are CRLF.

Steps to reproduce

1. Open a Book and Quill
2. Paste the following into the book:

   Printer's Gambit
   any -> 
   [[EAST, wawqwawaw][WEST, qqqaw], (vec), [NORTH_EAST, aawdd][WEST, dwewdweq]]
   
   Print the string representation of the top iota to the printer.
   

3. The game freezes.
4. The game crashes (Out of Memory).
