Customization Question: Image instead of Icon?

I've tried figuring this out with CardMod, but it's just not clicking what I need to modify. What I want to do is insert a team logo as the icon vs. using one the the MDI icons for specific sports teams.

Is this feasible/doable with the current setup? (And how, if so?)

The icons can only be MDI icons, but you can get the effect you want with card-mod:

card_mod:
  style: |
    .event[data-entity="calendar.personal"]:before {
      content: '';
      width: 30px;
      height: 30px;
      margin: var(--event-padding);
      background-image: url('https://avatars.githubusercontent.com/u/3100326?v=4&size=80');
      background-size: cover;
    }

This will add the image before the text or any event from the calendar entity calendar.personal.
