lyrics look to be saved in the metadata folders, not in the album folders

my scan has taken most of a day now and when I looked in the album folders the .lrc or .txt files aren't there. I looked in the LOG file and the .txt and .lrc are being saved in the metadata folders - is this normal?

I'm not sure if this plugin obeys the library settings for saving lyrics, but in your library configuration, the option Save lyrics into media folders is enabled?
That's the first thing I'd check.

I had this same problem and fixed it last night. Don't know if this is applicable to your situation or not, but thought I'd mention.

Ended up being a permissions problem. My NAS is mounted on the jellyfin server via NFS, and it can read from it just fine. But, the jellyfin user the server runs as had no write permissions to the filesystem on the NAS. So, it would log that it was saving the lrc to the media folder, then silently fail (maybe in debug mode it would report something but I don't know), and immediately log that it was saving it to the metadata folder. Added the jellyfin user to an appropriate group with write permissions on the NAS, and then it started writing successfully to the media folders.

This does seem like something that should be changed. If the plugin is configured to write to the media folder, it should log an error when it fails due to lack of permissions, not silently write to the metadata folder instead.

Anyway, tl;dr, make sure that the user running the jellyfin server process has write access to your media folders.
