Project DAVE may be installed directly on your host or run using Docker.

  • First check to make sure you meet the System Requirements.
  • Then choose from one of the following two installation options:
    1. Linux Host Install Directly on Host: Instructions to install ROS Melodic, Gazebo 9, UUV Simulator and DAVE directly on your host machine.
    2. Linux Docker
      • Noetic/Gaz11: noetic_docker
      • Melodic/Gaz9: dave with Docker: Instructions to use Project DAVE through a Docker container, which isolates ROS Melodic, Gazebo 9, and DAVE from the rest of your host.
    3. Windows Install on Windows 10 using WSL2: Native-like methods to install on Windows 10 (Need to enroll Windows Insider Program, a windows beta version program)
