Make Output have 16 states instead of 8 #4

I figured that I'd create a new issue, since #2 would suggest making parameters outside Gameboy limitations. A more specific issue might be better.
I'm suggesting that the Output knob can have 16 states instead of 8. I'm suggesting this so I can have more granularity and control over volume, yet still being faithful to the Gameboy hardware.
The reason why I wouldn't like to use something like a regular volume knob in a DAW is because the small volume "jumps" wouldn't be present. Those "jumps" make it sound more like a Gameboy. If I tried to attach the Output knob to my DAW, and made it fade, the "jump" be too much.
Would this be possible? Thanks!
