The SynapseStorage class provides a method to look up metadata or information about a stored piece, likely using its CommP.

Why Important

Enables users and the SDK to query the state or location details of stored data, which is essential for retrieval.

2. Could be related to fetching information needed for SynapseStorage.status.

Now we have a subgraph retriever we could potentially do a lookup that's generic across providers, so this becomes a Synapse#lookupPiece() or something at the top level rather than at the specific storage level because that's currently per-provider. I'll think about this one a bit more.

Closing this as completed, as this functionality has been implemented and expanded. The SDK now provides:

• Piece lookup: context.hasPiece(pieceCid) and context.pieceStatus(pieceCid)
• Cross-provider discovery: synapse.storage.download(pieceCid) automatically finds providers
• Comprehensive status: Existence, timing, retrieval URLs, proof status
