I've made this change to a custom build, and removed the descriptions, makes the UI look a lot cleaner if we go with something like this, an agreement needs to be made on how this should be configured, as there is a settings area but I'm not sure if we want to list all the devices and just tick the ones that should be displayed or something else, happy to make this change and submit a PR once we agree on an approach |

I was able to change the "Friendly Name" via the Registry Editor And the name of the... device type? via the Windows Legacy settings (the mic was previously called speakers) Happy days :) |

Would it be possible to have the option to select which audio devices are displayed?
I don't need to mess with my microphone very often, and I don't ever use the audio built into my monitor, so having these displayed in the flyout (is that what it's called?) looks messy and is an unnecessary distraction...
It would be nice if only the hardware I actually use was displayed...
Maybe a button to show "other devices" could be at the bottom?
Also, an option to rename them would be cool.
"Digital audio.... blah blah blah" sucks.
And wtf is "Speakers (MIC_TEST)"? (it's my usb mic - FIFINE K670)
Thanks 😁
