"dummy" device as default

i dont know how to say it... example:

i have vb cable, so i set the virtual cable as default device because i need all the software connected to this virtual device to apply effects

Firefox > Default input (VB Cable) > HD Audio Device

My issue is that, EarTrumpet let me see the devices in a very convenient way to change the volume. I use it because I can't change the Virtual Cable volume... It's just an output of 0% volume or 100% volume. So i need to change the volume from the real audio output instead of the virtual device

So, the feature that i want is... Since you can use the mouse wheel to change the volume level from notification tray... And you can expand and contract the devices in the volume menu, i would like to select a "dummy" audio device in EarTrumpet, indepently of the default Windows audio device... So you could monitor other device instead of the default one.

So i can change the volume in a comfortable way without opening the menu and then expanding it because i need to change the volume of a non-default device.

i do it because i apply equalizer apo to the audio
