Black Artifacts & Missing IVAs due to Stockalike Station Parts Redux – Missing Extras Component

Sorry if this is a dumb question #469

If you don't install the StationPartsExpansionReduxIVAs component from the Extras folder from the Stockalike_Station_Parts_Expansion_Redux-2.0.11.zip then all SSPER parts will generate a black artifact that interferes with the usability of the FreeIVA mod in adjacent parts.

The internal models for restock (restock+,) parts aren't loading at all; i found this in logs:

[Squad/Spaces/landerCabinSmallInternal/model]]]/PROP/MODULE/airlockName:NEEDS[!ReStock] as it can't satisfy its NEEDS

[ModuleFreeIva]]:FOR[FreeIva]/MODULE/deployAnimationName:NEEDS[!ReStock] as it can't satisfy its NEEDS

1.12.5, proper mod version asw, I don't have Reviva + I have BlueDog installed, one of those might be messing with it, im gonna try some things out & close this discussion if i fix it.

When you say the internals "aren't loading at all" what do you mean?

Can you post modulemanager.configcache from the gamedata folder?

Your log does not show that you tried to use any of the making history parts, as far as I can tell.

For reference, the lines you found in the logs:

Are completely intentional and correct, so I'm not quite sure what might be going on here without more info.

like the restock parts are 100% black inside and none of the FreeIVA controls work - there straight up isnt an internal model to load, it would seem

I'm not sure how but I seem to have (partially) fixed it, all I did was remove Tundra mods + kerbal reusability expansion but from what I can tell there were never any errors surrounding that (or restock for that matter) - now it's just the parts from Stockalike Station Parts Expansion Redux (not recognised thru CKAN for some reason)

So I can tell that there is a loaded internal module for the Hitchhiker Module, so there mustn't be any compatibility issues, something else seems to be creating these black artifacts

Fixed it!

Turns out I had to install a component from the Stoackalike Station Part Expansion Redux "Extras" folder - StationPartsExpansionReduxIVAs

It seems the absence of this component was not only depriving the SSPER modules of an internal model but was also generating black artifacts that were obscuring adjacent modules.

Sorry for all this, I really appreciate you taking the time to get back to me. And I love all the work you and the other have done on this mod, I remember first using this mod and being in awe despite how basic it was at the time, no physical collisions or hatch mechanics, it really has come a long way since then so thank you.
