Bug Summary
When transferring Floorp Portable from one computer to another, the installed extensions fail to function on the new machine, despite moving the entire folder structure intact. This undermines the portability feature that should allow seamless functionality across different systems.
Reproduction Steps
- Set up Floorp Portable on Computer A
- Install and configure extensions
- Move the entire Floorp Portable folder to Computer B
- Launch Floorp Portable on Computer B
- Observe that extensions no longer function
Expected Behavior
Extensions should continue to function normally after transferring the portable installation to a different computer.
Actual Behavior
Extensions fail to work on the new computer, even though the entire Floorp Portable folder structure was preserved during transfer.
Screenshots or Console outputs (recommended)
- Floorp Portable version: [version number] - Computer A OS: [OS name and version] - Computer B OS: [OS name and version] - Extensions affected: [list of extensions]
Browser Version
Floorp-Portable 11.24.0
Operating System (for example: Windows 10 Home, Debian 12, Fedora 40)
Windows 11 24H2 on both of the PCs
Additional Context
- No configuration changes were made during or after the transfer
- Extensions were functioning correctly on the original computer
- No error messages are displayed when attempting to use the extensions
