[Help]: Start CreateConnection by external element

Your Question

Currently you can create a new node connection by "mousedown" on the element with the fNodeOutlet/ fNodeOutput directive.

We would like to start this "drag to connect" from another html element which is not located in the fNode element.

Is that possible?
I already tried to trigger the drag with an customevent "mousemove" on the fNodeOutput. Does not work.

Hi,
That’s not possible — a connector must always be located inside the node. The “drag to connect” interaction can only be started from an element that has the fNodeOutlet / fNodeOutput directive. Triggering it from an external HTML element isn’t supported.
