TypeScript / ts-loader equivalent

Can this babel-loader plugin also be used as a ts-loader transform ?
If not, would it be easy to migrate it ?
Asking for such because I cannot make use of it right now, in a setup based on ts-loader only.
Adding babel-loader for this extra step only, increases the build time quite a lot, as babel-loader does more than just this specific replacement of imports through barrel file.

Migrating to a pure ts-loader plugin will take some time.
I’ve developed a new ts-loader plugin that allows you to use any Babel plugin you want: ts-loader-plugin-babelTransformer.

You don't need babel-loader for this, but under the hood, it uses the transformSync function from the @babel/core package. I haven't published it to npm yet, but you can check out an example of how to use it with Webpack in the tests folder.
