AMD ROCm 6.0 causes immediate coredump #1718

Your Environment

  • F@H Software version: 7.6.21
  • Operating System: Arch Linux
  • Browser: Qutebrowser 3.1.0 / Firefox 120.0.1
  • CPU: i7-8700K
  • GPU: AMD ATI Radeon RX 550 640SP / RX 560/560X
  • AMD opencl (ROCm) version: 5.7.1 (good) / 6.0.0 (bad)

Expected Behavior

After upgrading to ROCm 6.0, normal startup.


Current Behavior

After upgrade and reboot, immediate FaH coredump with a SIGABRT


Possible Solution (Optional)

Unknown. Incomplete backtrace due to no debug symbols for FaH.

Steps To Reproduce

  1. Upgrade to ROCm 6.0
  2. Reboot, then start FaH client
  3. Observe immediate coredump
