File attachment of event not shown/accessible

Feature description

I do have events with files attached (like pdf, images, etc.). These are synced from NextCloud to Android via DAVx5, however these attachments are not shown and are not accessible in Fossify calendar.

Why do you want this feature?

Having file attachments is a basic feature and in many cases an essential source of information.

I used it on Google Calendar to attach .pdf ticket for events or transport. It was very useful.

I agree with the above users, attaching tickets to an event in a calendar is a great way to be able to find tickets when you need them. I do this in both Google Calendar and my calendar in a self-hosted nextcloud instance.

Android doesn't natively support attachments, so that's an issue. As per the docs, attachments aren't yet supported in DAVx⁵ either. Even if it were added to DAVx⁵, it still won't work with Google Calendar, as they have their own mechanism for it.

We could have this for local events.

Thank you for the explanation, I just had a look at some of the documentation and I can see the problem... sigh. It's a bit frustrating as the CalDAV specification clearly includes attachments.
