Steps to reproduce the bug

When playing a video, it loses frames considerably and feels laggy. It is much more noticeable with 60fps videos.

I ran tests playing the same videos with VLC, Google Photos, and finally Fossify Gallery.
VLC and Google Photos played the 60 fps video without frame loss, but Fossify Gallery seemed to limit the fps to 30, maybe less.

Expected behavior

Smooth video playback without loss or fps limitation

Actual behavior

The video plays at 30 fps or even less.

Yes, even with the “Always open videos on a separate screen with new horizontal gestures” option enabled, the problem persists; the video feels laggy.
Would you like me to make a screen recording comparing the playback performance between Fossify Gallery and Google Photos or VLC?
I can do that if you require it, but I think it would be easier for you to make a comparison yourselves. Download a YouTube video at 60fps and compare the playback performance of Fossify Gallery with Google Photos or VLC; the difference is noticeable.
The app is excellent, the best I've tried, and of course I supported it by purchasing Fossify Thank You, but the only area that could be improved is video playback performance.

I am attaching a 60 FPS video that you can use during testing.
I compressed it into a .zip file because I am unable to attach it as an .mp4 file.
It is a video in which the fluidity and 60 FPS are very noticeable and which drop dramatically when played with Fossify Gallery, which does not happen with other players.

Honestly, I'm not seeing any major frame dropping in these videos. If there is a difference, it's very subtle.

I made a small mistake with the comparison because I compressed the video using an external tool to reduce its size so I could send it, which caused some frames to be lost and meant that there wasn't a very noticeable difference in the comparison.

However, the first video I attached (60 FPS Video for Testing) has not been compressed at all with that tool, so I would appreciate it if you could make your own manual comparison between the performance of Google Photos and Fossify Gallery using that video.

I know it might not seem like a big deal, but it is for those of us who work in content editing and creation, as it helps us verify that everything runs smoothly after exporting, especially when we want to switch completely to an app that works as an alternative to Google Photos.

Fossify Gallery app is flawless, very smooth, intuitive, and customizable—exactly what I was looking for as an alternative to Google Photos for my phone, as I feel that Google Photos is very aggressive with its constant pop-ups about creating automatic backups and privacy.

Fossify Gallery is everything I was looking for, but it needs to improve the smoothness of video playback to make it reliable for the purpose I mentioned above.

I really appreciate your efforts to constantly improve the app, and I'm sure it can be even more incredible than it already is.
