Double Space for Period

Feature description

It would be nice to have an option where tapping space twice inserted a period followed by a space.

Why do you want this feature?

It is reasonably common in other keyboards I've used and is quite handy to be able to type quickly.

I've tested this simple change and it seems to work:

I can turn it into a PR if a maintainer can give me guidance on what else, if anything, needs to be done.

It should be added as an option. I think we should be more careful about when to insert the dot. For example, I wouldn't want a dot if I double-tapped after finishing a sentence (with a period).
