No notification of new SMS

Steps to reproduce the bug

Receiving a SMS message

Expected behavior

A notification should be done on the UI screen.

Actual behavior

No notification, no badge on the icon application.
Notification are all enabled in Android Settings for Fossify Messages.
All notifications work fine for the other applications.
SMS are shown after a short delay in Fossify Messages.

Note that the Messagerie application from Huawei which were disabled, shows always a badge notification.

I had never notifications. I am reinstalling the app. I expect some SMS. Have you a test app or web that send a test SMS?

Note that the Messagerie application from Huawei which were disabled, shows always a badge notification.

The app likely isn't set as the default messaging app properly. Reinstall might help.

Please also check if other third-party messaging apps are working properly.

I have no change after reinstalling the app with none notification. Even after remove permissions for the Messagerie genuine Huawei app for SMS (I cannot deactivate it but I drive SMS to Fossify app).
If I authorise notifications for the Messagerie genuine Huawei app, only an icon badge is shown on this app not on Fossify Messages nether badge nor ringing.

If I make the Messagerie genuine Huawei app the default app for SMS, it works fine with notification. So the problem is from Fossify app, I think.

No, it does not.

Some months ago, Quik SMS had issues but the last F-Droid release 4.1.0 works fine and QUIK notifications works fine.
