Wrong date/time of a conversation when a new message is received and deleted

I just found this issue on my daughter's phone (the system/phone details reported above are those of my daughter). With my phone everything works fine.
I thought #274 and #225 solved these issues, but apparently they are still there in some cases/phones.
I tried reinstalling and deleting data/cache, with no success. After reinstalling/deleting, in the conversation list still appears the text of the deleted message in the affected conversation. After opening that conversation, or any other conversation, and going back to the conversation list that text disappears, but the date/time of the deleted message are still there.
Just guessing, but is there a problem with the database? How could it be possible that a deleted text is shown (although temporarily) for a deleted message? Not my case, but it could also be a serious privacy issue.
Could it be related to #183? In my daughter's case the deleted message is neither completely restored nor completely removed.

EDIT Just to clarify. When I said that in the conversation list still appears the text of the deleted message, I meant literally in the conversation list and nowhere else. If I open the affected conversation, the deleted message is not there. In addition, when going back to the conversation list any reference to that message disappears, except for time/date.

I can reproduce this issue with the recycle bin turned on. If it's turned off, the bug no longer appears.

All messages are stored in the system database. The app keeps a local copy in an in-app database for faster access, but the conversation snippet almost always reflects the system value, which might not always be up to date, hence the "leak".

Does she have the recycle bin enabled on that phone?

Just tried. It happens with the recycle bin both enabled and disabled. It also happens for both sent and received messages.

How many conversations are there on that device? Have you tried waiting for a bit?

About 190 conversation. and yes, same problem with some tests made yesterday.
I just had a more serious issue, with both my phone and my daughter's phone. I deleted a message with recycle bin on, went back to the conversation list, went to the recycle bin, removed the message from the recycle bin, went back to the message list, wrong time/date shown for the affected conversation, tried to open the conversation, got "unknowm error" message, whole conversation got removed!

Additional information. Due to the lost conversation, I restored a backup done yesterday with SMS Backup & Restore. The good news is that the conversations for which I did some tests now have the right time/date, that is the time/date of the last messages. However, for four apparently random conversations the conversation list now shows the time when I did the recovery. For one of those conversations, the name of the sender also appears corrupted, that is a strange code is shown instead of the name. In the stock message app everything is shown properly.
