Position of manually moved songs in the tracks queue is reset when going back to current track view

Steps to reproduce the bug

1. go to tracks queue view
2. long tap on a track name to enter edit mode
3. pick a track some positions after the currently playing one and move it back so that it's the next track after the currently playing one
4. press the back button (the arrow in the top left corner) to exit edit mode
5. the tracks queue list shows the user edit: the picked song is just after the current one
6. go back to the currently playing track view

Expected behavior

the next song is the one which was manually moved (as shown in the "next track" box and in the tracks queue if tapping on it)

Actual behavior

the tracks queue is unaffected as if nothing was done. The queue is still in the original order and the song which was manually moved is back in its original position

Couldn't repro with 10k tracks.

I just experimented a bit more and the behavior is even more puzzling than what I saw initially. This is what I did step by step:

• enter the tracks queue view: order of songs is ABCDE (A is currently playing)
• swap B and C. new order is: ACBDE
• back to currently playing view: it shows C as next song (correct)
• tracks queue: swap back B and C, new order is now ABCDE again
• currently playing: shows B as next song, correct again. All good up to this point.
• tracks queue: move E as next, so new order is now AEBCD
• currently playing: shows C as next song (???)
• entering the tracks queue view now the order is ACBED before moving any other song. so C, B and E rearranged by themselves between the visits to the tracks queue view
• now I moved E again as the next song, so the new order shown is AECBD
• back to currently playing: it shows B as next song

Couldn't reproduce that either. Are you able to reproduce it on other devices too, or just this one?

Looks like clearing the cache and app data apparently fixed the problem. Probably the last version update left something in the cache which confused the app. Sorry for wasting your time, I unconsciously thought the update would automatically clear the cache and didn't think about performing that step explicitly.

Did you have shuffle enabled before? What repeat mode were you using?

Oh you're right. The shuffle was disabled after clearing the cache. Now that I have re-enabled it the issue returned. The repeat mode is disabled (as it was before).
