Steps to reproduce the bug

open app
type something
remove text with backspace
it will repeat the last 3 letter infinitely while pressing backspace

Expected behavior

when pressing backspace it should just remove the text

• What keyboard do you use?
• Are you really on v1.3.1? Please double-check because a similar issue was fixed recently in v1.3.1.

i checked for sure before posting & the keyboard is openboard & it did not got a update before 1.3.1 & before 1.3.1 that bug was not there the other keyboards have the same bug & 178 is about ghost inputs & mine is repeating inputs when pressing backspace

I can reproduce the original bug with Openboard in Fossify Notes 1.3.0. Version 1.3.1 works fine, no problem with backspace.

Same. I couldn't reproduce it with OpenBoard v1.4.5 and Fossify Notes v1.3.1, but I can reproduce it with Fossify Notes v1.3.0.

Backspace works properly with Gboard, AnySoftKeyboard, FUTO, and Fossify Keyboard when using Fossify Notes v1.3.1.

F-Droid / IzzyOnDroid

Version 1.3.1 isn't there on F-Droid yet. Do you have the IzzyOnDroid repo set up?
