Hi there. I tried to find which license this project uses, but there was no license in sight. Could you clarify whether this project is meant to be proprietary or open source?

With no license, contributors will retain the copyright to their contributions, and that might make distribution difficult, be it commercial or no.

These kind of projects are inside a grey area speaking of law. If you see other reverse engineer projects they either have no license or a very permissive CC0 license
