Option to generate shadow / light outline

Is there an option to parametrically generate an object of the shadow outline (3D curves depending on the intersection of the light with the objects [e.g. with threshhold setting for slightly transparent objects]) and export this or use it in a TechDraw drawing?

While shadows are important on this workbench, for now, I believe this resource is an internal issue of FreeCAD.
