just for testing i took "value_to_datavalue" from ua_utils.py def value_to_datavalue(val, varianttype=None):

@oroulet I took your test and added it in simple-server.py. But if you try browsing this node with a client, you got the same decoding error: I tried our Client-Gui as well and got this Traceback: My server-minimal.py codeCode:import logging

requirements.txt:

await server.write_attribute_value(item[0][0].nodeid, dv, ua.AttributeIds.Value)"parse_to_datavalue" returns just a datavalue from "value_to_datavalue" method (ua_utils.py) it just creates the correct Variant from DataType |
