QuickStart Guide

  • Plug in the Receiver module to the UART port on VESC master.
  • Go to General App Settings and set the control method to: UART
  • UART App Settings: 115200 baud
  • Go to the Nunchuk App Settings screen.
  • Set the highlighted Throttle settings fields appropriately.

IMPORTANT: The Nunchuk app settings default the Positive & Negative Ramping Time value to 0.9/0.3s which is 3x the normal default. Please ensure you update these to a more reasonable value (ie: 0.3/0.1)

  • Deadband - I’ve been running 5%, the remote itself has virtually zero deadband but I would recommend keeping a minimum of 3% as I’ve not tested much below that. Throttle Curve can be adjusted on the next tab identically to how the PPM throttle curve is setup.
