Please turn off your remote when making any changes to your VESC configuration. This includes mobile app via bluetooth, vesc-tool, etc
- Plug the OSRR Receiver module cable into the 7/8 pin UART port on your master VESC/Unity.
- Connect your PC to your VESC/Unity using a USB cable, open VESC/FOCBOX Tool and connect to the correct serial port.
- Go to General App Settings screen.
- APP to Use: UART, Timeout: 500-1000ms.
- UART App Settings screen: 115200 baud
- Go to the Nunchuk App Settings screen.
- Set the highlighted Throttle settings fields on the Nunchuk App Settings screen appropriately. Deadband & Throttle may be configured from this screen as well.
IMPORTANT: The Nunchuk app settings default the Positive & Negative Ramping Time value to 0.9/0.3s which is 3x the normal default. Please ensure you update these to a more reasonable value (ie: 0.3/0.1).
- Ensure your OSRR is fully charged. Power on your remote first, then your board.
- If your VESC/Unity is connected to the VESC/FOCBOX Tool, You can enable "RT App Data" and view the throttle input in realtime on the Nunchuk App Config page.
- Slowly ramp your throttle up to full, return to center. Test braking, etc.
- If remote & board are responding appropriately, go have fun on the road! Be careful! As with any hardware change, you should test slowly and deliberately and put safety above all else.
