[walnascar] imx-boot fails on imx95-19x19-verdin

Meta-freescale is not working on imx95-19x19-verdin board as tested at meta-freescale#1ceebd8f13de30e1c6d5f04e16d378782e7b66adcd. The last print from serial log is from BL31 where it gets stuck and never enters U-Boot bootloader. Building imx-boot with meta-imx#rel_imx_6.12.20_2.0.0 (and meta-arm) seems to fix.

We are currently working in the 6.12.20_2.0.0 upstream #2325 and the backport for walnascar

looks like imx-boot is still pending. Would you mind creating a PR for this?

Unfortunately I'm not familiar enough with this to make PR. As said above, I got it working by adding meta-imx to my build (along with meta-freescale etc layers) but no idea about exact cause. It seems also that imx-boot can start with imx-atf#28affcae957cb8194917b5246276630f9e6343e1 but then it has some problem when booting to Linux kernel (related to secure-enclave maybe).

Don't know if that is still relevant, but I had the exact same issue. In my case, 8 out of 10 time the execution stuck before getting into U-Boot. I debugged the problem and the execution got stuck at this line:

Commenting this while loop worked for me as a dirty workaround.

Another issue when booting to the linux kernel was the Mali GPU driver which caused the boot procedure to hang without any info. Disabling the GPU driver prevented the linux kernel to get stuck in my case.
