The current location pinning

Hi, i am using version [0.36.1]. When i am looking at the map and going around. I constantly goes back to the latest newly recieved location point and zooms back in. this makes it impossible to look at the big picture or a specific region.

Disable Live mode in your map settings: cog in top left corner of your map, the "Live mode" checkbox

I tried that already and it seemed that while the live mode is off the intermediate points get lost. So when I turn the mode back on there is a straight line between the last point before turning off and the new point after turning on.
